(Washington, D.C.) First lady Jill Biden wooed and wowed a crowd of supporters at the Human Rights Campaign National Dinner with her new dress that she secretly made using a curtain from the Oval Office.
“It’s my little secret—no one needs to know where I got the materials and the design,” the first lady told a confidant. I am very happy that it was well-received by Joey’s supporters. I worked very hard on this, and I wanted my labor to be appreciated. It’s not every first lady who has the ability to turn a curtain into a stunning nighttime formal dress. Asked if she planned to do more Oval Office curtain dresses, the first lady indicated that it would depend on what pattern of curtain the White House staff bought to replace the one she used.
“It will have to be special. It will need to inspire me,” Jill said.
