(Washington, D.C.) Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky agreed to President Biden’s terms that he would return all U.S. and NATO military gear that Russia doesn’t destroy when the war is over.
“It is with great pleasure we sign this arrangement,” Zelensky told reporters as Biden stood by. “We are in great need of this equipment and we will put it to much good use. As part of arrangement, I tell President Biden my forces will take good care of tanks, artillery, and guns so that they will be returned in same condition they were in when we were so graciously provided them. But of course, much of this depends on what Russian forces do. They like to destroy Ukrainian equipment, and they do not seem to care where it came from. So I say we agreed to this, but I cannot say how much will be left to return. Oh, and there are much middlemen to pay off, too.”
