WASHINGTON, D.C. — In what scientists are calling a “historic anomaly in the laws of political physics,” experts confirmed Monday that Hillary Clinton and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer’s public praise for President Donald Trump lasted a record-breaking 11 seconds before both figures abruptly reversed course and blamed him for “something, probably.”

The incident occurred during a joint press conference where the two Democrats were commenting on Trump’s successful Gaza ceasefire and hostage release deal.

“Well, I think we can all agree President Trump—” Clinton began, before freezing mid-sentence, blinking rapidly, and muttering, “Oh God, what have I done?”

Witnesses say Schumer tried to recover by clapping politely before quickly pivoting. “Yes, yes, Trump deserves… uh, accountability,” Schumer stammered, frantically checking his phone for polling data. “Obviously, this was all possible because of the strong foundation built by Democratic leadership and decades of progressive tweeting.”

According to neurologists at Johns Hopkins University, the 11-second stretch marks the longest recorded instance of bipartisan acknowledgment without visible physical distress. “Most politicians experience immediate symptoms when forced to compliment their opponents,” explained Dr. Lila Conroy. “But Clinton and Schumer held out impressively before succumbing to the usual side effects — facial twitching, excessive coughing, and spontaneous blaming of Vladimir Putin.”

Political strategists say the rare outburst of praise may have been accidental. “It’s like when you sneeze — you can’t help it,” said one anonymous Democratic aide. “Sometimes you see Trump do something undeniably effective, and the truth just slips out before the talking points kick back in.”

Within minutes, both Clinton and Schumer issued clarifying statements. Clinton posted on X, “To be clear, I meant to say cease Trump, not ceasefire. Autocorrect strikes again.” Schumer followed up with a press release blaming “Russian hackers” for the incident.
