Sa-tire (/ˈsaˌtī(ə)r/) — The use of humor, irony, exaggeration, or ridicule to expose and criticize people’s stupidity or vices, particularly in the context of contemporary politics and other topical issues.

In normal times, we wouldn’t have to explain to readers and the general public that ours isn’t a “real” news site, but we don’t live in normal times, do we?

Today, far too many people get offended, butt hurt, upset, and angry over things that, once upon a time, would make us laugh.

So in the spirit of days gone by, we bring you The Daily Wasp, a collection of trending news and reports that are begging to be ridiculed, mocked, and lampooned.

Our biggest objective is to make you smile; the biggest compliments we could get from our readers is the sharing of our stories via social media and/or a word-of-mouth recommendation (“Dude, there’s this hilarious new satire site I found online!”).

Meantime, we’ll keep publishing the satire and, likely, explaining to the perpetually offended that our news isn’t any more real than their outrage.
