(WASHINGTON, D.C.) President Joe Biden clarified this week that when he said that his open borders bill was “the will of the people,” he didn’t mean real people.

“I was sending a clear message to Congress that lawmakers would be making a huge mistake to go against the will of Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, as well as Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi,” Biden clarifed.

“We all know this bill isn’t going to be effective. It’s unworkable. It’s not really sealing the border. It sends tens of billions of dollars to Ukraine and Taiwan,” he continued. “But what kind of president would I be – what kind of democracy would we be – if we listened to real Americans on this issue? What do they really know about it?”

He added: “No, by far, members of Congress — even those not from border states — have a much better understanding of what’s going on, and what ‘the people’ actually need. So yes, when I say ‘will of the people,’ I don’t mean Americans in flyover country. I’m talking about my Uniparty club members in Congress.

“And who really knows what ‘the will of the people’ really is?” Biden continued. “I think we can handle this.”
