(ATLANTA, Ga.) Mitt Romney, who is retiring from the U.S. Senate as one of the least-effective members in the history of the chamber, continued to demonstrate why Democrats love him and Republicans think he’s a scumbag.
Asked by CNN host Kaitlin Collins if he would support former President Donald Trump over President Biden this November, Romney did his best ‘I’m really not even a RINO, I’m a Democrat’ impression.
“No, no, no, absolutely not,” Romney said emphatically. “Look, I don’t have one shred of political honesty in my body, so there is no way I would support any Republican for president who rejected me — me — as his secretary of state.”
“I understand that Donald Trump will always be called something I’ll never be called – ‘president’ – and that’s got my dander up real good, that’s for sure,” the carpet bagger former Massachusetts governor continued. “For that reason alone, I will continue to be a dick to him and, frankly, to my self-declared Republican Party if it means they support him.”
“I’m not running again for senator because I know I can’t win in my adopted state, thanks to Trump,” Romney added. “He’s ruined my life and now I’m gonna spend every waking hour trying to ruin his, even though he’s actually achieved more in life than I ever will.”
