(DES MOINES, Iowa) A Democrat voter was so shaken emotionally and physically after hearing a different political viewpoint that she had to be admitted to an area hospital’s intensive care unit.

Rachel Vise, 34, had taken great care to avoid being in contact with anyone who disagreed with her left-wing positions on abortion, the Supreme Court, Donald Trump, and gun control. But she found herself overcome with stress after overhearing two men in a local cafe express opinions that were the polar opposite of hers.

“It really was touch and go there for a while,” Dr. Hugh Jansen, a cardiologist at Des Moines General, said after getting Vise admitted and settled into an ICU bed. “I’ve never seen someone crash and burn like this so quickly. She literally only had moments to live.

“We have a very good EMS system in the city, so paramedics got to her quickly and were able to revive her,” Jansen added. “She’s stabilized now and I have instructed the nursing staff to leave the TV in her room turned on to either CNN or MSNBC. No Fox News or Newsmax TV at all.

“She’ll be okay. She’ll pull through. But we’re gonna have to make sure she gets into therapy after we discharge her so she can deal with the fact that tens of millions of Americans don’t agree with her on much,” Jansen continued.

Vise’s family was asked about her condition, but a spokesman they don’t talk to “right-wing nut jobs.”
