(BROWNSVILLE, Texas) Just days after his personal physician said he passed his annual physical and didn’t need a cognitive exam, President Biden got a little confused during a visit to the border in Texas, mistaking it for his home state of Delaware.
“It’s good to be back here in Rehoboth Beach. I know it’s been a couple of weekends since I was here, but it never gets old going home,” the confused Biden began as aides and assembled Border Patrol agents looked at each other, with some rolling their eyes.
“Delaware is such a cool state — I don’t know if any of you standing right here with me have ever been there,” Biden continued, “but it’s certainly worth the trip. Great people, good times, and yeah, we have our share of illegal migrants, too.
“I was supposed to be in Texas today doing some sort of photo op on the border because my polling numbers are tanking on the immigration issue, but obviously, my handlers thought I needed to go back home instead,” Biden mumbled, as he read off a cue card. “I’ll go there someday soon. I know I’m supposed to do my part so Barack Obama’s operatives can continue to run the country.”
The White House had no comment.
