(ALBANY) The Democratic legislative supermajority in New York has once again redefined the “fair share” tax to include amounts of money they deem necessary from year to year.
“We have decided that the best way to continue funding hotels for illegal immigrants, shoot-up clinics for drug users, abortion on demand, and huge rent subsidies for residents who just don’t want to work is to adjust what we believe is the ‘fair share’ that working New Yorkers must pay each year to fund all of the freebies,” New York House Speaker Carl Heastie (D) said.
“That way, if we need more money one year, we can simply steal it from the working class without having to worry about a self-imposed legal tax limit,” he continued. “Fair share is literally whatever we say it is.”
“In the past, we would have to shame ‘the rich’ — which, of course, includes anyone who has enough money each month to pay their bills — to cough up more of what they earn. And while it’s always fun to do that, it tends to take time, especially as fewer and fewer New Yorkers fell for that old lie,” Heastie added. “Now, we can just help ourselves to everyone’s paychecks when we seek to buy more votes without worrying about what anyone thinks, which, you know, is the Democrat way.”
