(WASHINGTON) White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre voiced her displeasure after some “white dude” took far too long at the podium during a briefing.

“Look, I’m all for equity of opportunity. After all, there’s no doubt that I was a diversity hire,” she said, noting that her poor performances have not resulted in her getting fired.

“But this white dude isn’t the press secretary, okay? He’s never gonna be the press secretary — or anything much in this administration, because the only way he will ever be a diversity hire is if he gets a job with the City of Atlanta,” she added.

“So, no one comes here to hear ‘white dude’ drone on and on. They come to hear what I have to say, even if most of the time I’m not saying anything useful,” Jean-Pierre continued. “So he needs to get with the program and make his appearances here very short and very limited.

“I’m about to lose my patience,” she added. “Tired of him acting like he’s important or something!”

A spokesperson for the White House said on condition of anonymity that, yes, Jean-Pierre was a diversity hire “and a darned good one.”
