(BETHESDA, Md.) Secret Service agents panicked this week when President Biden managed to slip away unnoticed and hop into Marine One for a quick joyride.
“Honestly, we don’t know what happened,” a still-shellshocked Secret Service supervisor in charge of the president’s detail said on condition of anonymity. “It’s almost like how a young child can quickly slip away if you avert your attention from them for just a few seconds. That’s exactly what happened in this case.”
“As we frantically searched the grounds for him, the next thing you know, we heard Marine One start its engines, and as it passed overhead, we could see that President Biden was behind the controls, just cackling and pointing at us on the ground,” the supervisory agent continued.
The agent said that Biden wasn’t gone that long “but it was sure long enough to cause a ruckus within the White House and certainly within my agency.”
Asked about what precautions the Secret Service will take from here on out to keep better track of the wandering president, the agent was adamant: “Well, for one thing, no one’s leaving the keys in Marine One anymore.”
