(WASHINGTON) The daily White House briefing descended into chaos earlier today after press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre ignored every reporter in the room and read Biden’s campaign talking points for an hour.
“This was the most outrageous thing I’ve ever seen,” Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy said. “And it sucks, too, because I had some really good Biden questions.”
“Wow, I feel like I just, I don’t know, wasted the whole afternoon,” said another network reporter who requested anonymity. “I thought I was one of her favorites too. Just for that, I won’t be bringing her those brownies she likes so well anymore. I’m done!”
CNN justified the highly unusual situation, however. Host Kaitlin Collins opined: “I get that I used to be a White House correspondent who used to get furious when I wasn’t called on. But now that I’m a host and making great money, and it’s a Democrat in the White House, I don’t see an issue here. KJP isn’t required to actually do her job, you know.”
Other White House officials agreed. “This is what we love about CNN: They always tell the truth.”
