(BROWNSVILLE, Texas) During his recent visit to Texas, President Biden identified a mid-level Department of Homeland Security official to blame his border crisis on.
“I won’t mention his name because I’m not here to shame him, but it really is his fault,” the president intoned as he brought the as-yet-unidentified official to the podium. “He knows he screwed up, he knows he is completely to blame, and he’s taken that responsibility like a man — or, well, maybe I’m assuming he’s a man. If not, sorry about that.
“So from this moment on, while the border crisis is ongoing and we still have tons of people coming across illegally, at least Republicans and their media friends at Fox News know who is truly responsible for this mess,” Biden continued. “If they want to know who this DHS gentleman is, let them figure out and then shame him by reporting his name. I’m not going to do it.”
While at the Brownsville station, Biden could be seen “counseling” the unnamed official while pointing out column after column of people illegally crossing into the U.S.
“That’s what you’re taking the blame for,” Biden could be heard saying at one point.
