(PARIS) After a string of accidents involving Boeing aircraft, several militant groups have released a statement saying they will only hijack Airbus aircraft going forward.
“Due to the current unsafe nature of Boeing planes, which have lost doors and wheels in recent months, we don’t feel safe hijacking Boeing aircraft at this time,” the groups said in a collective statement. “When Boeing Co. can prove to us that their planes are once again airworthy enough to hijack, we will add them back to our list.”
“In the meantime,” the groups said, “we will only focus our militant efforts on Airbus planes, as the European conglomerate appears to have its act together. No Airbus planes are losing vital parts in-flight or during take-off, so we feel much better hijacking those instead.”
A spokesman for Boeing refuted the militant group’s assertions by claiming unequivocally: “That’s BS. Our planes are every bit as good as anyone else’s and should be hijacked with confidence.”
