(ANDREWS AIR FORCE BASE) President Biden was spotted warning Secret Service agents that he was preparing to fall down the steps of Air Force One again.
“Ever since he began having, shall we say, ‘difficulties’ walking up and down the steps into the presidential plane, we’ve been encouraging him to let us know before he has one of his mishaps so we’ll have agents in place to catch him,” a Secret Service supervisor said on condition of anonymity.
“We believe it looks much better to the world to have the president’s security team in place to sort of field him like a grounder to the shortstop and get him upright as quickly as possible,” the supervisor continued. “So far, it seems to be working. Warning us he’s about to fall ahead of time really has made a world of difference.”
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre would not confirm or deny whether Biden is giving out warnings before he falls, calling it a “national security issue” and referring questions back to the Secret Service.
“The president is fit and agile,” she said. “Everyone who’s not a partisan MAGA type can see that.”
