(CULVER CITY, Calif.) A guest invited to one of Joe Biden’s campaign events quickly and cheerfully took responsibility after the president broke wind.
“I just want to let everyone know here in the room that I’m very, very sorry for my bad manners,” Dr. Jessica Saint-Paul told the assembled crowd. “I know I’ve let everyone down, and I apologize for that.
“I know many of you think you heard the president actually break wind, but trust me, it wasn’t him. It’s just the way the room is designed. The sound doesn’t quite carry the same. The smell does, obviously, but not the sound,” Saint-Paul continued.
“So now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, let’s move on and not hold up President Biden any longer. He’s a busy man who should not have to deal with things like this,” she said.
After the event, handlers for the president were seen carrying what appeared to be a soiled adult diaper to a trash can. Asked about the earlier incident, though, a spokesperson merely snapped in response: “Dr. Saint-Paul took responsibility for it. There’s nothing more to discuss and nothing to see here.”
