(WASHINGTON, D.C.) First lady Jill Biden couldn’t help but gloat to her Ukrainian counterpart, Olena Zelensky, during a recent visit to the White House when she said the taxpayer-provided home she shares with President Biden is a much better place.
“You know we own you, right?” Jill Biden was overheard telling Ms. Zelensky as the two of them posed for a photo in front of the White House. “I know that’s not good diplomacy, but I wanted you to know just who you’re dealing with.”
“I’ve not yet decided if you and Volodymyr are worthy of my assistance, but if I do, I will let Joe know he can give you more of Americans’ hard-earned dollars,” Jill added to an obviously taken-aback Olena. “Until then, you need to know where your bread is buttered and to whom you owe your existence and allegiance.”
“Back when Barack was in the White House, Joe was laying the groundwork for you and Volodymyr, helping to overthrow your husband’s predecessor,” Jill, doing her best mob boss imitation, continued. “So you owe us everything. And don’t worry, we’re gonna collect.”
As the White House photographer signaled he was ready, Jill then said: “Now be quiet and smile big. You’re lucky enough to be at my house.”
