(VANDALIA, Ohio) Former President Donald Trump angered assembled reporters and journalists at a rally here on Saturday after he failed to say anything they could twist out of context.
“It is really disappointing,” said an NBC News correspondent on the scene. “He made it impossible for me to do my job today. Now I’m going to get into trouble. I have nothing I can use.”
“I’m not happy,” added the CBS News reporter assigned to cover the rally. “Literally nothing he said could be taken out of context and misreported. My editors are gonna be pissed off.”
CNN’s Jim Acosta, frustrated by being put out into the field again after several failed shows on the network, was really animated. “There literally is no point to have me out here if there isn’t anything to misquote and misreport.
“Everyone knows what my network’s main purpose is – to get people to believe all sorts of things about Trump that aren’t true,” Acosta grumbled as he packed up his gear. “So it’s clear that my editors are gonna be even more disappointed and upset with me now that I didn’t get anything good than they were at Don Lemon before they let him go.”
