(ANDREWS AIR FORCE BASE, Md.) The Secret Service was forced to quickly intervene after President Biden tried to hail a cab or an Uber when he was departing Air Force One.
“The president wasn’t confused he was just in a hurry and the presidential limousine wasn’t on the tarmac just yet,” a spokesperson for the agency said. “Our agents were there quickly to guide the president and he eventually made the right decision to wait for the limo.”
“The Secret Service is always on hand to keep the president safe, well-protected, and away from any mode of transportation that smells like the driver just hosted a Taco Bell party,” the agency spokesperson added.
“At no time was the president in any real danger of getting into the wrong vehicle,” White House spokesman Andrew Bates added. “He knows what he’s doing, he was just trying to speed up his departure back to the White House to sign important executive orders that Barack’s people put in front of him.
“And let’s face it — he’s ‘regular Joe,’ so he just likes to be among the little people who make our country work,” Card added. “Nothing to see here.”
