(DETROIT, Mich.) Left-wing environmental groups are pressuring the Biden administration to replace the gas-hog presidential limo with a 1983 Dodge Aries K Car.
“We really believe that if this president is serious about cutting emissions, he’ll ditch those massive limos for a much smaller, fuel-efficient alternative,” Miles Thomas, a spokesman for the Sierra Club, said. “You have to talk the talk, sure, but it’s far more important to walk the walk.”
“We have a planet to save here, and President Biden is the most powerful and influential leader in the world,” Thomas continued. “Electric vehicles are a huge step in the right direction, but we also understand that the presidential limo cannot be hindered by running out of juice in the middle of transporting the president. That’s okay for normal Americans, but not him.”
Thomas added: “So, while we hate the internal combustion engine, a small four-banger like the Aries is at least a lot less harmful on the planet than his limos. Heck, they even call it ‘The Beast.’ Let’s face it — beasts don’t get good gas mileage.”
A White House spokesman actually said the president is considering the option as long as the administration can find an Aries model in black.
