(CHICAGO) A local millennial man is ecstatic after President Joe Biden ignored a U.S. Supreme Court ruling and forgave his $40,000 student loan.

“I never thought it would happen, but it did,” Dan Swanson, 33, said. “I mean, he kept talking about forgiving loans, and then those fools on the Supreme Court that Trump appointed refused to allow Biden to let us all renege on our obligations.

“But the president did the right thing by ignoring those partisan hacks and doing the right thing by us, even though we voluntarily made those loans and agreed to pay them back at the time,” Swanson said. “Things have changed since then. Stuff is a whole lot more expensive. It’s hard to earn a living. And now, I gotta pay back a loan for a degree I’m not even using? To heck with that.”

“I just hope Biden continues to ignore the will of the Supreme Court and just do what he wants,” Swanson continued. “He’s not being a tyrant or a dictator, mind you, he’s just doing the right thing for people he wants to vote for him. And I don’t see anything wrong with that.”

Asked what he plans to do now that his loan is forgiven, Swanson said he’s ready to move on and take out a loan for a new Dodge Challenger Hellcat.
