(The White House) President Biden got to enjoy a rare moment of levity when he was showered with praise and approval after signing the latest piece of legislation in blue finger paint.
“As you may have guessed, being president is a very hard job, so anytime we can make it easier for him, we like to do that,” first lady Jill Biden explained. “Joey likes to dip his fingers into things, so I thought he would almost certainly enjoy using some finger paint to sign this very important bill, and you can see from the look on his face he had a great time.
“I’m always on the lookout for ways to make being Mr. President more pleasant for the big guy,” the first lady continued. “It keeps him distracted, and he doesn’t get as cranky, especially after it gets to noon or so and he’s already been up for a couple of hours.
“I am sure other first ladies have done all they could for their presidential husbands, too, but it seems obvious that I will go far above and beyond for mine,” she bragged. “This is truly a historic moment for me and the country, but mostly me.”
