(Chandler, Ariz.) President Biden was hastily escorted off a construction site he tried to take credit for after union foremen spotted him without a hard hat.
“Look, I know he’s the president, but rules are rules,” Jose Guzman, 49, said. “Accidents don’t discriminate, you know? Not only that, he’s not paying one dime in dues to be here, so he for sure isn’t getting a free pass.”
“Gotta agree with Jose,” Belinda Michaels, 41, added. “Just because he runs the country, he don’t run this construction site, we do. And as long as he thinks he’s gotta be here, then he’s gonna follow our rules.”
Secret Services agents reportedly did not interfere when the site foremen made their way towards the president as they pointed at their hard hats and gestured for Biden to get off the premises.
“We know our place,” a supervisory agent said. “We weren’t gonna get in the middle of that.”
