(Mexico City) Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador said that he will end the flow of illegal migrants into the U.S. if President Biden agrees to take in all Mexican citizens.
“Yes, I am willing to stop the flow of migrants into the United States, but only after my American counterpart agrees to take in and take care of all Mexican citizens,” the leader known as AMLO said. “That is the only reasonable, fair outcome. My people obviously do not want to live in their home country anymore, so Biden should take them in.
“Not only would such an arrangement fix the so-called ‘illegal immigration’ problem for the U.S., it would make my job a lot easier,” AMLO continued. “Without citizens to take care of, there will be far less for me to do and I am very okay with that.”
The White House did not respond directly to the Mexican president’s demands, but a spokesman for the administration did issue a statement.
“We have to admit, the Mexican president has made a good argument. Bringing all Mexican citizens to America would certainly solve the ‘illegal immigration’ problem. And President Biden is considering all options,” the person said.
