(New York) Former Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel expressed relief after being fired from NBC because now, she says, she can actually go to a network that has viewers.
“I guess I knew when I accepted the position that I’d mostly be talking to myself and the other panelists since practically no one watches NBC or MSNBC,” McDaniel said. “Still, I figured it would be an opportunity for me to hone my gabbing skills before I took a shot at getting hired at a real network with an audience, like Fox News or even Newsmax TV.
“So I regret that I won’t be getting what essentially was a paid internship at a smallish network, but I’m obviously better off now,” she continued.
Asked if she would even consider being a contributor at CNN, McDaniel couldn’t help but let out a laugh.
“Oh, my gosh, no,” she chuckled. “I mean, it was going to be bad enough at NBC, but going to CNN, I would have had more people watching me if I held a town hall in Little Rock, Arkansas.”
