(Washington, D.C.) President Biden signed an executive order ahead of Easter banning all religions in the United States, with notable exceptions for Jewish moments that are “politically useful.”

“The president understands the Constitution, and he knows what it says about this subject, but several legal advisers and the White House Counsel’s Office have told him he is within his Executive Branch authority to do this,” press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said.

“That said, it’s important that we have the Jewish carve-out because, as we all know, Israel is an important ally, and many, if not most, of the Democratic Party’s megadonors are either friends of Israel or Jewish,” she continued. “So it only made sense to make an occasional exception for politically useful Jewish moments, though they should not try to take advantage of his leniency — unless it comes with a check, of course.”

“Besides, he also sees his decision as a money-saver. With the stroke of a pen, he just made it easier for working families to not have to fork out money for gifts,” Jean-Pierre added with a wry smile. “Just another way he is reducing costs for average Americans, and he hopes they’ll remember that on Election Day.”
