(Studio City, Calif.) Second gentleman Doug Emhoff announced this week he’s tired of waiting for wife Kamala Harris’ approval ratings to climb so he’s just going to replace her on President Biden’s ticket.
“Look, I really didn’t want to do this — I’ve never really been into politics much. But she and I have been talking and while she’d never say so in public, she realizes she’s been a disaster and that the American people will just like me better,” Emhoff told a crowd. “She’s had her chance and it’s just true, Americans don’t like her much. Believe me, I get it.
“So in order to help ensure that President Biden is reelected, I’ve agreed to replace my beloved wife on the ticket. Initially focus group polling indicates that with me as VP, he’s got a much better chance to be reelected,” Emhoff continued. “She’ll take one for the team. Kamala will still get to travel aboard Air Force Two, live at the Naval Observatory, and have all the perks of a VP but without any of the responsibilities, and that’s really what she’s had trouble with — responsibility.”
Former President Donald Trump sounded off about Emhoff taking his wife’s spot on Biden’s ticket with a prediction: “People will like him much better than her. But they’d like anybody better than her.”
