(Washington, D.C.) One of Joe Biden’s economic advisers got the ‘stink eye’ from the president after he suggested adopting former President Donald Trump’s policies to help his reelection chances.
“I don’t know if you’ve ever gotten what we call ‘the stare’ in the White House, but let me tell you something, you don’t want to be on the receiving end of that,” said Jared Bernstein, chairman of the White House Council of Economic Advisers.
“I was merely trying to suggest successful economic policies that would quickly turn things around to help the president at the polls. We all know that what Trump did not only worked but put our economy on steroids, and right now, it could use a couple of injections to pull us out of this ‘Bidenomics’ nightmare,” Bernstein added.
“That said, I don’t want to go through that again. ‘The Stare’ is more than I can handle. It’s not worth my sanity or, God forbid my freedom,” he added. “So we’ll just continue to make the best of our current bad situation and just hope that Americans blame him and not us.”
When asked about ‘the stare’ during a press conference this week by Fox News’ Peter Doocy, spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre just looked at him in silence.
