(Washington, D.C.) A guest of the White House who was standing next to President Biden when a loud sound of flatulence broke the silence took great pains to let everyone in the room know that it wasn’t her.
“That wasn’t me, everyone!” Cicily Thomas, 47, told the assembled guests while looking over to the president. “I think y’all know who it really was,” she added with a chuckle.
“I’m not trying to dime anyone out, mind you, but I just know how these things go sometimes and you only get one chance to make a first impression!” Thomas added. “Even if I won’t ever see any of y’all again, I don’t want anyone talking bad about me for years to come.”
Biden could be seen grinning back at Thomas, which was either an indication that he was the guilty party or that he wasn’t sure what was going on.
When asked for clarification, a White House spokesperson said the “incident speaks for itself” while denying that the president’s early departure had anything to do with changing his undergarment.
