(Long Beach, Calif.) A young, new entrepreneur says he is dreaming of the day when he no longer has to use a dock parking lot for an office and can move into a real one.
“It’s on my mind constantly. There isn’t a day that goes by when I’m not thinking about it,” Krishna Singh, 27, said. “It’s been a dream of mine since, gosh, forever. I mean, I get up every day and come to work because I really enjoy what I’m doing, and the WiFi in this parking lot is really good. But you know, just a little bit of bad weather, and that puts me behind.”
“It’s been an experience, I’ll say that. I’ve met some really cool people this way, and I’ll never forget most of them,” he said. “But as things improve for me, I’m gonna need a place where clients can meet with me and not feel like their shoes are melting on hot days.”
Singh said he didn’t have any particular timeline for when he could move his operation into a real office building, but he said he’s likely to do it in stages.
“Well, I’ll get a chair first, and then at some point, I’ll add a desk. Then, eventually — maybe in six or eight months — I can get some cheap office space,” he said. “When that happens, there will be no stopping me!”
