(Carmel, Ind.) Former Vice President Mike Pence moved to solidify his position as the country’s “least favorite Republican” when he issued new criticism of his onetime political partner, President Donald Trump.

“I heard what the president’s position is on a host of issues today after his latest campaign rally in Green Bay, Wis., and even though I agreed with him 100 percent on all of those issues when we were both in the White House, I don’t now,” Pence stammered.

“And his position on the abortion issue — letting the states decide? Why, that’s a slap in the face to everyone who thought he and I were all about states’ rights and federalism and the Constitution,” Pence wailed. “Let it be known that from now on, if Donald Trump is for it, I’m against it, and I don’t even care if it goes against all the political principles I’ve held my entire life.

“If opposing Trump is wrong, I don’t wanna be right,” Pence declared.
