(Manhattan) Former President Trump’s hush money trial has been delayed after prosecutors and the judge presiding over the case failed to find a single person in the borough who liked him.
“When I decided to charge the former president with these fabricated allegations, I figured there would be at least one or two residents in Manhattan who might kinda, sorta like him,” District Attorney Alvin Bragg told reporters after the day’s proceedings. “I mean, don’t get me wrong, the case was filed here for a reason. But I can’t even make it appear like there is a hint of fairness.
“This is bad. This is real bad,” Bragg continued. “We have to have at least a couple of people available to be interviewed as potential jurors who don’t think he’s guilty of anything in order to make it seem like we gave him a fair trial, not that I’d allow them on the final jury, mind you.
“But as bad as all of this is for Trump, it sure looks like I’m not gonna have much trouble being reelected!” Bragg added.
