(Tucson, Ariz.) A local man has been forced to admit that the very moment he stopped wanting to “be on my own,” he began missing his former girlfriend.

“I’m not quite ready to admit yet that I screwed up, but I gotta say, it’s beginning to look like it,” Dillon Matthews, 35, said. “I really did think I wanted to be on my own, but I think I meant just for a little while, you know, so I could do some stuff that I wanted to do.

“But now that I’ve done those things, yeah, it’s true, I miss my Bonnie. I miss her a lot,” Matthews continued. “She told me I’d feel this way, but, bro, I’m a guy. I didn’t believe her.”

Matthews said he was going to try to see if is former girlfriend would take him back, at least for the time being.

“I think that’s fair. I really hope she does, too,” he said.
