(New York, N.Y.) Former presidential candidate and first lady Hillary Clinton riffed on former President Donald Trump during an interview this week over reports he paid hush money to keep people from talking, adding that she and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, “did it another way.”
“I won’t elaborate on how we took care of little problems like that but suffice to say it was a lot cheaper,” Hillary Clinton told an interview with a slight smile and gleam in her eye. “And I can tell you this: We never had any of these little ‘problems’ come back to haunt us later, if you know what I mean.”
“Cheap and permanent, that’s what you want when you need to make problems disappear,” Hillary continued. “If he would have called me some years ago before he decided to pay this money, I would have clued him in to the Clinton way of doing things.
“But he didn’t. And look at him now. That’ll never be me or Bill,” she said.
