(St. Louis, Mo.) Rep. Cori Bush said she’s giving serious thought to ditching her claw-like fingernails after stabbing herself in the eye with one of them.
“I really am thinking about giving these things up,” Bush said as she was receiving care from a team of paramedics. “Luckily, they tell me I won’t lose my vision, but dang, it hurt. So, yeah, I’m definitely thinking about filing these things down or maybe even having them removed altogether. I understand my girls won’t look at me the same way because they’ll still have their claws, but I got to think of my long-term health and future!”
At press time, paramedics had transported her to a local hospital, where she reportedly nearly lost a finger after she got a nail stuck in an electronic door as she was being pushed into the E.R.
